One of the underrated perks of retirement is the ability to bake cookies on a whim—no schedule, no reason, just because it’s Tuesday and the oven looks lonely. The beauty is, they don’t all have to disappear immediately (though they could). That first batch is delightfully low-pressure.
To keep future us equally happy, we portion out the extra dough and stash it in the freezer—just enough for a modest snack for two. When the craving strikes, we simply extract a “snack packet” like seasoned pros. It’s our built-in portion control system. Practical. Delicious. Mildly heroic.
